Press & wash

How to get the sheet on the shirt, and how to keep it there.

Press

Press

  1. Pre-press the garment 10 seconds to pull moisture and wrinkles.
  2. Lay the transfer film-side up.
  3. Press at 284°F, medium–firm pressure (40–80 PSI), 5–10 seconds.
  4. Peel hot, or wait until it’s fully cold. Don’t peel warm.
  5. Cover with Teflon or greaseproof paper. Press 12 seconds.
  6. If glue is left, a quick press with greaseproof paper will lift it.

If you press a lot, tape a Teflon sheet to the top platen.

Test on a spare before a production run.

Wash

Wash

  1. Turn the garment inside out.
  2. Wait 24 hours before the first wash.
  3. Cold or cool water only.
  4. No bleach, softener, or harsh chemicals.
  5. Hang dry or cold tumble. No hot dryer.
  6. No dry cleaning.
  7. Don’t iron the print or hit it with high heat.

Follow this and the print holds color and stays down.
